About Me. . .<\/strong> I have a passionate interest in the mind-body-spirit connection and the influence of each of these on people’s health. At Red Lotus Psychology I derive immense satisfaction from helping people to manage, alleviate and\/or resolve mental health concerns. In addition, I experience immense joy working as a Holistic and\/or Integrative Psychologist and Counsellor, helping people to manage, cope with, improve and potentially recover from physical health issues through addressing psychological, emotional and behavioural contributors to them. This has been my long-standing career dream.<\/span>
I have the potential to empower people to better manage both mental and physical health concerns and improve lifestyle\/other choices using an Integrative approach referred to on my Services Provide page. After my completion of Functional Nutrition training, I look forward to supporting people with more of the same in a consultant role.

<\/span>I have my own health issues and I\u2019m passionate about continually improving my own well-being and supporting others with doing the same, as other medical\/health professionals have done before me. I am also passionate about empowering adults and teenagers to find their voice, to make positive choices for themselves and to fulfil their own dreams. I believe that supporting people with living full, rich, meaningful lives, with heart, soul and good health is my purpose. Doing this with respect, warmth and kindness is my pleasure.

<\/span>Professional Experience:<\/span><\/strong>
For many years I worked in various occupations – as a childcare worker, retail sales assistant and manager, legal secretary and court reporter. I also attempted\/completed short courses related to these professions and others in travel consultancy and natural therapies. These experiences awarded me with some rich life experiences and lessons. However, my unyielding intuitive sense that I was meant to be a psychologist and holistic\/integrative therapist never died, and 10 years ago I decided to invest myself more fully in pursuing this career path.

<\/span>Since 2014 I have completed a Master of Counselling and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) program, worked as a Volunteer Crisis Counsellor, a Family Counsellor, a Provisional Psychologist and Registered Psychologist with not-for-profit organisations and in private practice. I have supported individuals, families and groups. I have supported people in the areas of crisis, relationship difficulties, relationship breakdown and co-parenting, conflict resolution, communication, assertiveness and boundary setting skill building, disability and mental health, and I have often used a brain-based, trauma-informed, strength-based approach in my work.

<\/span>Personal Experience:

<\/strong><\/span>In my private time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching my two teenage daughters take part in their sporting\/other activities of interest, spending time by the beach and in nature, cooking and reading for pleasure. In the future, I aspire to engage in various art and craft classes to nurture my more creative\/artistic side.
